On both sides of the road you can see some ancient wood peasant houses. |
Tour #2 Dolomiti discoveryLength: from 150 to 180 km Detours: This tour is already perfect and needs no adds to satisfy you! Nature: Find out the unique overlook of the Fedaia lake. You may also meet groundhogs and chamoises! Cultural suggestions: You’ll find the War Museum on the Passo Valparoala and the open-air Lagazuoi museum on the Passo Falzarego (also with cableway from the pass). |
Tour #3 Infinite loopLength: 190 km Detours: It may possible be part of the Brenta Tour, from the Fedaia pass to the Val di Fassa. You will meet Cavalese on your way back. Nature: The passo Manghen, passo Brocon and Calaita lake are still unknown to the mass tourism. Cultural suggestions: There are no particular attractions but many small peasant towns. |
Tour #4 Infinite overlooksLength: 60 km Detours: Leading North towards Vesio, you find a connection to the Rock’n’Roll route simply going South. Nature: Have a coffee at the “Scary Terrasse” at the Hotel Paradiso, or, if you are short in time, give at least a glance to the lake. The view is really scary! Cultural suggestions: Plan a trip to Limone. |
Tour #5 The Lords' CrossLength: 220 km Detour: It may be a great add to the Garda see route. A great way to see many things in a short time. Nature: Don’t miss the wonderful panoramic view in Goletto di Crocette (2.070 m asl). The road is paved all way up to the pass. Cultural suggestions: The small town of Bagolino just seems to come directly from the past. In its surroundings you can find many abandoned iron caves. |
Tour #6 Four lakes routeLength: 220 km Detours: From the Idro lake, go to Lumezzane, Sarezzo and Iseo to reach the Iseo lake; we suggest you to get back home passing by Marcheno and Nozza. Nature: Plan a stop on every lake: Valvestino, Idro and Ledro. Have a bath at Idro. Cultural suggestions: Don’t miss out the furnaces on the Ampola pass and the prehistoric pale dwellings on the Eastern coast of Ledro lake, with a nice museum worthy a visit. |
Tour #7 Rock’n RoadLength: 180 km Detours: There are small and interesting valleys on both sides of the Chiese river. Nature: Varone waterfalls. From the Tenno lake, enjoy the 100-metre tall jump. Cultural suggestions: Take a break at the Lago di Malga Bissina restaurant to discover the history of the dam and its construction. |
Tour #8 Monte BaldoLength: 120 km Detours: Add to the tour some of the narrow and lonely turns of the surroundings of Caprino Veronese. Nature: The higher zone of the Monte Baldo seems like the Garden of Eden because of its more than 600 different species of plants, including uncommon ones. Cultural suggestions: plan a stop in Melcesine, wonderful city on the Garda lake. Goethe was fond of it and you will understand why. |
Tour #9 Garda lakeLength: 180 km Detours: This tour is for a relaxing, pleasant overlook. Nature: The Northern part of the coast is an uninterrupted series of panoramic points. Cultural suggestions: The Vittoriale in Gardone surely represents one of the most interesting and uncommon museums in Europe. |
Tour #10 Rovereto TourLength: from 185 to 255 km Detour: The route itself is charming, both for panoramic views and driving. Something more: discover the narrow roads on the Eastern side of Folgaria. Nature: Take the chance to bath and relax at the Caldonazzo lake. On the Southern edge, you may find some sandy or gravel beaches. Cultural suggestions: from Rovereto, going South, you can find some small rock-casted churches. |
Tour #11 BrentaLength: from 160 to 300 km Detours: You may decide to continue up to 300 km. Nature: The Molveno lake is worthy a bath, for its pure and clean – and cold! – water. Cultural suggestions: you’ll just step into art. Don’t miss the 1539 frescoes on the outer walls of San Vigilio church in Pinzolo. |
Tour #12 Monte BondoneLength: 140 km Number of passes: 2 Difficulty: hard Driver’s fun: top Detours: There is a narrow and charming pass between Arco and Ronzo-Chienis. Something more: discover the road that goes from S. Felica and Isera. Nature: Plan a picnic – there are many opportunities here around, just as on the Monte Bondone (see the picture) Culture: The charming thermal town of Arco is worthy a visit, especially the pedestrian zone in the old town (it will take 15 to 20 minutes). |
