Difficulty: medium Peak “Pizzo di Levico” Length: 11.3 km From the Vezzena Plateau it is possible to reach the fortress “Forte del Pizzo di Levico”, used during the World War as a position for bombing and controlling military traffic on Valsugana. Here the Habsburg Military Engineers created one of the most extraordinary works of war engineering: the top of this mountain, in fact, was excavated to create a practically impregnable fortress. |
Difficulty: medium Mount Fravort Length: 19.4 km This route offers incredible views ranging to the North over the Val dei Mocheni and the Brenta Dolomites and to the South over the entire Valsugana valley. You walk along ancient paths used both by shepherds and soldiers who presided over the top of Fravort during the First World War. |
Difficulty: easy Panarotta 2002 Length: 4.4 km It is a mountain path that offers a splendid view. From the Panarotta refuge you pass through the Bassa alpine pass and then climb to the Panarotta peak. The peak of the mountain was heavily protected during the First World War and the remains of the trenches can still be seen. |
Difficulty: medium Erdemolo Lake Length: 6 km The basin where the small lake is located is very characteristic, at the base of Pizzo Alto and Monte del Lago. Very suggestive and emblematic of Lake Erdemolo is the small snowfield which, except for very hot seasons, remains throughout the summer season and practically “dives” into the lake’s water. |

Difficulty: easy Mountain hut “Sette Selle” Length: 8.4 km The Sette Selle Refuge (literally: seven saddles) is located at the top of the beautiful Intertol, between the peaks of Cime Slimber, D’Ezze and Sette Selle. The structure is the ideal arrival and departure point for numerous trekkings in the Lagorai Group. |
Difficulty: medium Pass “Cinque croci” Length: 8.4 km Hiking to the Pass Cinuqe Croci (literally: five crosses) is a beautiful and satisfying excursion in all seasons. While in spring the green of the new buds is the predominant colour, in summer the protagonists are the rhododendrons with their intense red, and starting from September the autumn colours make the landscape fiery. |
Difficulty: easy Fortress “Forte delle Benne” Length: 4.9 km Located at the top of the hill, which has the same name, overlooking Lake Levico, it is located about 2 km from the center of Levico Terme. Also called Fort di San Biagio, it was built by the Austro-Hungarians between 1880 and 1882. |
Difficulty: medium Peak Marzola Length: 8.8 km The Marzola peak is considered one of the most beautiful panoramic points in Trentino thanks to its central position between the Adige Valley and Valsugana. The view is fabulous: on one side you can admire the Brenta Group and Trento, on the other the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo. |
Difficulty: difficult Peak “Becco di Filadonna” Length: 10.7 km The Becco di Filadonna with its 2150 m above sea level is the highest peak of the Vigolana massif. The Frate’s spire and the rocky pinnacle of the Madonnina are two spectacular morpho-sculptures located on the north-eastern side and in their vicinity stands on a rocky spur overlooking Vigolo Vattaro and Lake Caldonazzo, a recently renovated fundamental shelter for mountaineers: the bivouac Vigolana “Madonnina” (1990 m above sea level). |
Difficulty: difficult Alta Via Lagorai Length: 41.2 km This high trail is located along what was the Austro-Hungarian defence line and the Italian one during the First World War. War paths and fortifications, still active pastures and mountain huts, the beautiful Val Campelle and the ascent of the wild Val Orsera, countless alpine lakes, and a complete panorama of the Lagorai chain and Cima d’Asta, the summit of the group, reachable with a variant of trekking. |
