Hike #2 Levico lake pathTurning left in front of the Levico thermal baths, you will find the dirt path that follows the Rio Maggiore and goes to the lake; there you’ll enjoy the panoramic view of the lake surrounded by the Tenna hill on the background. |
Hike #3 St. Biagio church.Placed on the upper part of the city, and reachable proceeding on the road to Vetriolo, you’ll find the small St. Biagio church. The church, in a green archeological area, was built in XIV century and has some interesting Venetian frescoes, an ancient wooden ceiling and a rare cobblestone floor. It was once site of pilgrimage. |
Hike #4 “Stradina dei pescatori”, Fishers' pathFrom the Eastern side of the Levico lake, you may go North on the dirt path, all around the lake. As soon as you overcome the lake, you find a path on your left that leads to the other side of it. There you can go right to the Croz del Diaol and end up in Alberè, close to the small town of Tenna. Once you reach the paved road, you can walk to Tenna and enjoy the panoramic view on Levico and Caldonazzo lakes. From St. Rocco square, you continue on Via Roma and then Via San Valentino. Once you reach the military fort, which was built by the Austro-Hungarians at the end of the XIX century as defence, you can go straight on up to the ancient St. Valentino church. Then you can turn back and get back on the same path. |
Hike #5 From Vezzena pass to the Pizzo di LevicoLeaving from the square in front of the Vezzena Refuge (1400 m asl), that can be reached thanks to the Kaiserjägerstraße, an ancient military road which connects Caldonazzo to the Folgaria, Lavarone and Vezzena plateau, you turn left towards the Busa Verle fort. Once there, you can follow the signals or the dirt path to reach the Pizzo fort (1908 m asl) with its incredible panoramic overlook of the whole Valsugana and especially on Levico and Caldonazzo lakes. |

Hike #7 From Panarotta to FravortFrom the Panarotta Ski Area, you follow path n. 308 to reach, after a good climb, the Panarotta peak (2002 m asl). The peak was strongly garrisoned during the World War I for its being a junction point between Brenta and Lagorai sectors. Then, you go straight on towards La Bassa (1834 m asl) and climb again, following the Sentiero della Pace E5 (path 325) up to the Monte Fravort (2347 m asl). Return following the same path. |
